Resolutions!

Yesterday I mentioned making and keeping some resolutions.  My first and I'm sure everyone's first is to lose weight. Of course I want to lose weight, but I would much rather think of it as "back to healthy!" So the year of 2012 is my back to healthy year ;) I did buy the 30 day shred and need to buy an updated Pilate's dvd. Not that I think my old vhs one is bad but let's face it, it is a VHS!!!

We're into day three of the New Year, I have managed to keep up with my full body cleanse, I also managed to attract one nasty cold. You know the type, where it starts as a heavy head cold then instead of leaving, it works it's way through the rest of your body, type of cold.  Yes, I feel like one big pile of crap. This morning seems to be the worst, I was completely winded just from going up and down the stairs this morning. I have to say, I don't think a full body workout would be my best idea. Figures, this is back to healthy year, it only makes sense that I start it off with a nice, tiring cold.  I did do some stretches and found some Yoga on tv, that is my workout for the morning. It's better than nothing!!!

My next resolution is to try a new recipe a month. Some how I started this in December and I do have my wonderful, Awesome mommies group to thank! They all seem to cook up some great things for dinner, I was totally inspired to step it up! Okay, I admit it was half inspired and half embarrassment. Somewhere throughout the day, one of us will ask "What's for dinner?" Let me tell you, I realized pretty quick my dinners were pretty weak, LOL!!  Ok moving on, in December, I did Orange Chicken in the crock pot. It turned out nice and tasty, a little to much orange but I know what to do for next time.  I did my very first whole Chicken in the crockpot, yes I love my crockpot!! The last one I tried was Spaghetti squash, I've never been a squash eater but this is definitely a keeper!!  I'm getting more into cooking, having a roommate that will eat anything makes it a little more enjoyable, Jaelon has a taste and then that's about it. So I have a few recipes that I've picked out to try, I'm not sure how many of them will get done in one month. But I'm aiming for two, I would like to do a new one a week but I'm keeping it real. If I can do 2 in a month, I'll be happy with that!!!!   So nice to be back in the blogging world, this time with new goals to keep up to date!

Enjoy the day :)
