Weekend wrap up

Our weekend here was good, Friday was our library class. The first one we've been to since before the summer. A new girl is running the class and it's just a little more chaotic than our other classes were.  A room full of toddlers with parents that are more into socializing while their children are up, running around, screaming and getting into the Liberians things. All while the girl is still attempting to read her story. Thankfully there are songs that require involvement from the children, so it's not like they are forced to sit down for half an hour and just listen.  That being said, I'm not sure where in there it says to let your child run, scream and get into things that they shouldn't. Needless to say when the class was done, I felt very frazzled, a LITTLE stressed. Trying to keep Jaelon from joining in the chaos was not easy, I am not looking forward to this weeks class. But I will give it another go, Jaelon enjoyed going in the past.  A note to parents, I understand the need for adult conversation (believe me, I do). However, ssigning up for a parent and tot class does not mean that the teacher, instructor or librarian is your babysitter for that time, it's called a parent and tot class for a reason. Thanks!!!

Once a month I take my niece to a kids workshop, they get to use a hammer, screwdriver and glue to build a new project. She really enjoys going, plus it's just her and I that go. Jaelon stays here with my mom! After the workshop we all (except my mom) walked up to the duck pond.  Saturday evening we went to the Santa Claus parade. The parade itself was.... well... rather sad (I'll leave it at that!!) The best part of it was meeting up with a great BBC April Mommy!!! That made up for the sad excuse of a parade and made my weekend great! Hopefully we will be able to get together again, at a place where the kids can play and interact!

Sunday was a pretty lazy day, we slept late, had a late breakfast and Jaelon was clearly still tired. He was in full terror mode right up until he went down for his nap.  I did start crocheting a blanket... I'm not sure what the end result will be like but I am trying to crochet a blanket. HAHA it should be interesting, I can't get the patches down and have only mastered the single stitch, so we'll see how it turns out! That was our weekend in a nutshell.

Until tomorrow
